We got a really good deal on tickets to Oahu. So me and Ian headed out to sunny Oahu.
The weather was so pleasant (I guess any weather beats a cold weather day in Utah). We did lots of snorkeling that was by far my favorite part. We went snorkeling at a place called Hanauma Bay it was amazing I got to swim with sea turtles:) We also did a shark cage dive that was pretty awesome and creepy at the same time. My dad also went and it was cool to go on a trip with him. I had a blast and look forward to my next adventure.

Brielle was so dang excited for Christmas. She would ask us everyday, "How long until Christmas?" it's taking forever. Christmas this year was bitter sweet because all I was thinking was this time last year sweet baby Connor passed away. I hope one day I will be at peace with everything that went down. For now I just have a lot of sadness and anger and what- ifs. Brielle talks about him a lot she says baby Connor's in heaven. Burying Connor was the hardest thing I have ever gone through and never want to go through again.
Christmas day, we actually had to wake Brielle up because Sage woke up super early. We set all their stuff out and the kids were super excited to see all the stuff Santa left. I am so thankful to have healthy happy little kids. I just love my Family. And everyday I have with them.

We wanted to get the kids pictures taken with Santa so we went to Salt lake with the family and had dinner. We also went to go see the lights at temple square. We figured sage was at the age, he would be scared of Santa. "Boy" were we right, he just went nuts when we tried to get his picture taken. Brielle loved it of course. She said she wanted a BIG barbie house and a purple scooter. She is at the fun age with Santa for sure. We did this cute email video for her from the north pole and she just ate it up it was so funny. She watched the video a at least fifty times.

My heart is so full for this family. I can't even imagine what their going through. We often worry about the day to day stuff and forget the most important thing Family. I love my kids so much. This has hit home for me he was sages exact age. Children are not supposed to die...Parents expect to see their children grow and mature. Ryan and Kelly Pack were driving home on Christmas Eve just minutes after leaving a family Christmas party with their two sons Finn (3 years) and Colum (18 months) when an SUV jumped the median and hit their car in a head-on collision. Ryan, Kelly and Colum were critically injured.
On Christmas Day, Colum passed away.

Disney Cruise!!!!

We just got back yesterday from the Mexico Disney Cruise. It was a lot of fun! There's ups and downs with being stuck on a cruise ship but, We had a blast:) My favorite was pirate night you dress up as pirates. There was SOOOO much food on there I actually was sick of eating by the end lol. Brielle had fun seeing all the characters and having them sign her cast. She's still a little to young to be okay going off by herself doing all the activities. But they have all kinds of fun stuff going on each day for kids and adults and a really nice movie theater. So there's always something to go do. Sage had fun as much as a one year old could of had. He hated the daycare but loved the mickey bars. I love vacations and all the memories they make!!!!

I decided to take Brielle to Disney on ice for a mommy daughter date. We had lots of fun:0 Afterwords we decided to go to my grandmas house and work on disney shirts for our cruise the following week. Everything was going good until Brielle was twisting around and fell. She was crying and I didn't think anything of it.( Brielle is very dramatic). I got worried when she kept crying so I went to pick her up and grabbed her arm it was just hanging there. My heart dropped, I was thinking that we needed to call 911 lol. Good thing my mom , sis, and gma were there to keep me and Brielle calm. I called Ian and then headed to the hospital. We were hoping it was just dislocated but, it was worse of course. She snapped the bone right above her elbow. The Dr. at Davis wouldn't even attempt to fix it. So , we had an expensive ride by ambulance to Primary's. I went with Brielle and Ian and my mom followed. Me and Brielle got checked in and Ian comes stumbling in with a bloody nose. He was running and thought this glass wall was sliding doors and jacked up his nose!! I thought 'oh man this is the worse night ever!!!' Then the doctor comes in and says she will need surgery and no swimming. "What, no swimming, We leave in one week for our cruise." Finally we talked to the surgeon and he said we could order a water sock to put over it. (which tore on our trip). Surgery went fine she got three pins put in. We got to go home the next day after a LONG night in the hospital. Brielle has done pretty good with the cast. The first week Me and Ian were super drained. Brielle can be SUPER needy. She had it taken off the day after we got back from our cruise. Bad timing if she would been a week earlier it would of been fine. She tells everyone she was twisting and fell and then a dog attacked her. (Abby was just licking her lol).

We to black island farms for brielle's field trip. This time next year my baby girl will be in kindergarten. I am having major with drawls already. She has become such a little lady I can't believe I will have a grade school kiddo:) She is so smart and independent I just love this little girl soooo stinkin much. i feel bad lately because I feel like a lot of my time is getting sucked up by baby sage. For example at black island farms I was running after sage the whole time. I had no one on one time with brielle. I am going to have to make a point to have mommy daughter dates so I can have more one on one time with brielle.

I can't believe summer has come and gone:( We really tried to make a point in going swimming once a week in august.) Our favorite new place to go is the Roy pool the kiddos love it there and its nice for me just get some sun. We made a couple trips to the zoo also but, it seems like when me and my sis get together it complete chaos lol. Lets just say two one year olds. It's crazy because I don't remember brielle being so much work. Sage is such a BOY he is always climbing, getting into stuff and keeps me on my toes 24/7. He started walking in august also which I didn't push at all lol. He is such a daddy's boy same with brielle.

We, went up to Butterfly Lake over the weekend and spent the night. One word of advice before going camping don't forget the bug spray lol. It was super pretty we went on a drive. There were sooo many wild flowers everywhere. Tent sleeping was a little rough we all four shared one air mattress and I was worrying the whole night that my kids would get cold. But the camp fire was nice and of course smores:)

We went to Snowbird a couple times over memorial weekend. It is super pretty up there and theres fun stuff to do with kiddo. We saw a moose and brielle thought it was a donkey. We did the lift which was fun and at the top there is still snow:( When we went up with my mom and sis we went sledding on a plastic bag we got flying and ate crap but it was funny lol.

Sage, Sage, Sage, Hmmmmm where to begin, this kid is a major handful he sure keeps us on our toes lol. He is soooo loving and a snuggle bug but, he is also a major stinker. He loves to climb into my cabinets and dryer. He loves to pull everything out of the lower cabinets. He gets into the dog food and puts all kinsie's dry dog food into her water bowl. He has this major high pitched scream when we are in the car so we are always giving him treats lol so we can have an enjoyable drive. He hates when we go outside for a minute as soon as the front door shuts he starts crying. He does this back arch when he throws a fit and will head butt you. But, I will miss it someday so I just take it in as we go lol. We love our Mr. Sarjay.

My baby turned one on the 16th. I want to say like everyone "I can't believe he is one wow time fly's". But time has gone by super fast for me ever since I graduated high school. I wish time would slow down but, it never does so enjoy every moment with your kiddos. We celebrated his birthday up in Idaho this year. Happy Birthday Sage WE LOVE YOU! For the fourth we went up to Bear Lake. Ian's Parent rented a couple condos in Sweet water. It was a lot of fun! We have never been all together on a trip like this before. The kids had a blast and brielle and ander did not go to bed until super late lol. The small town of Paris has a parade( it still throws candy:) I hate how parades are not doing it anymore blah. Costa Rica 5 Years Anniversary!!

The end of June we decided to go to our favorite place Costa Rica:) We thought with all the moving and stress to go with it, it would be a good time to get away without kids plus it was our anniversary coming up so it was one more good reason to get away. It was a blast is so nice to be able to reconnect as a married couple. It is so easy getting caught up in the everyday stresses plus little kiddos and forget to just make time for each other. We had a blast we always have a new adventure every time we go there. We stayed at a place called Cuna De Angel it was sooo pretty it was all lite up at night and it was tucked away in the jungle. Things to remember just notes for me. We watched willow lol our tiny little car we had to turn the air off to get enough power to go up hills, and four wheeling by the gators:( Ian going fishing and me puking off the side of the boat I have never been so sea sick in my life. I LOVE MY HUBBY HAPPY FIVE YEARS BABE!

Brielle Graduated from her first year of Preschool!!!!

Brielle had her preschool graduation on the 24 of May. Miss Marsha organized the cutest program ever!!! They each had to do a talent, and Brielle and Kennedy did their dance together. They did a great job. They each got hats and when they graduate they slide down a slide-- super funny. Miss Marsha handed out rewards and Brielle got the sweetie reward. She will start the advance class in august. Brielle is so stinkin smart she amazes me and Ian all the time how smart she is. She can count to twenty and knows her abc's(and most of their sounds). She loves to learn and she plays on her ipad all the time(and learns a ton on there too). Congrats Brielle you are so smart and mommy and daddy are so proud of you.

I can't believe my sweet baby girl is four. We celebrated her birthday last month. What a CRAZY day. I swear whenever I have people come over I get in cleaning mode and clean and clean until my house is spotless, but it's funny because two minutes after the birthday starts the house is a mess--So I have no idea why I stress myself out:) Brielle had a princess party this year and picked Little Mermaid to come, which was crazy because she loves Tinkerbell. Little Mermaid came and sang songs, played games, and painted their faces super cute. She was totally professional, even when miss kennedy told her that her boobs looked funny-lol kids. Brielle loved her special day except she fell down the stairs an hour before her party and got a nice shiner. No joke the next day she had a big black eye, poor girl. We just love her so much! Happy 4th Stinker Pot!!!!!

Well, where to start? Brielle has been growing like weed. She is becoming a little lady with a BIG attitude. Brielle has been suffering from UTI's and has had two really bad cases the last six months. We have to take her in to Primary Childrens sometime next week for testing. (I am dragging my feet she hate's the doctors soooo bad.) Brielle is still in dance and preschool 2 days a week. She is learning so much in preschool and she just loves her teacher Miss Marsha. Brielle is such a good big sister and is always helping me with baby Sage. I just love my kids so much and I so thankful for their health. After going through Connor's death it has made me soooooooooo thankful for healthy kids. Brielle just loves her daddy and they are two peas in a pod. When together, she does not let him out of her sight lol.

Well, sad to say my baby boy is crawling all over the place. He started crawling on April 27. He loves to get into stuff and is a BIG ball of energy. He has been getting his two top teeth and they have almost broke through. His poor little gums look soooo sore.
He also had his nine month well check-up and he is doing extremely well. He weighed in at 20lbs 3oz 47%, In his height 28 inches in the 45%, and his head 18.5in in the 91%. I think sage is going to be a big boy he has the biggiest hands (my mom calls him puppy hands.) I just love, love this little guy. I know moms are saying this all the time but, it's crazy how time flies with kiddos. Maybe because your running around with your head cut off most the time that the time does not drag. I just got sage's big boy booster seat yesterday and will post pictures. Sage still is a little piglet he will pretty much eat anything you give him which has been really nice because brielle is totally opposite. We have to de-crust all her bread and pop tarts and the list goes on and on.

Brielle and Sage are growing up fast as ever. Brielle just got her first hair cut (by me) a couple weeks ago. She no more has the mullet. I was not going to cut it but, I'm hoping it will come in thicker and grow longer. She looks pretty cute with short hair though. She still has a sugar tooth and wants a treat for breakfast all the time. She is so smart and makes us laugh daily except when it comes to bed time no laughing matter she's a little stnker.
Sage loves his bottle and eats baby food three times a day now. He is such a snuggle bug. He loves his silky blanket, he puts it up to his face when he sleeps. He has his two bottom teeth and he turns 6 months in 5 days.

Ian and I, just got back from New York. We decided we needed a much deserved time together... just the two of us. New York, hmmmm, where to start, let's just say you better be prepared to drop a lot of cash. Most foods places out there are SUPER expensive... five dollars for a coke and no refills, lol. I'm glad I went though. It is a definite culture shock, I loved taking the subways everywhere. I wouldn't mind some of those in Utah. We stayed right in Timesquare at a funky little boutique hotel, which was nice, but you do tons of walking out there regardless of where you stay.. I would guess people would stay in pretty good shape. On weekends, people don't really come alive until 11:30p.m...thats when most clubs open - they close around 5:00am.
Ground zero was really cool to see and I just thought how scary it must of been to see that all shake down. And for people to jump off those buildings in fear (those building were insanely tall). We had a lot of fun together! So much to mention....We went to a place to get knock-off name brands and it was so funny. They took us in their shop, opened a hidden door in the wall and took us in this dark basement with black walls and stairs, and then into another hidden room. Then on the way out we had to ring a door bell because we were locked in. It reminded me of some horror film lol. We also had a bit of a scary moment when we decided to hit Brooklyn and got out at a bad area. We walked around the block and were the only white people. Lets just say that the looks we got were not the most welcoming. Oh, we also decided to go get foot pedicures in china town - there is a funny story about that which I don't think I should mention.
The pizza is really good there, like everyone says, but I think Cheese Cake Factory actually has better cheese cake. I thought, how do all these people fit in Manhattan, but on our way home to the air port they have huge building after building of apartments in Queens. We squoze (is that a word?) a lot into a very short time but had fun. I am sure we will miss the $$$ that seemed to be pulled from our pockets with every activity or step. It felt like the feeling of leaving Vegas when your lost more than you won.

Our sweet Connor passed away in Kira's arms Tuesday November 21 at 12:10p.m. I feel so blessed to have met Connor and can't wait to see him again what an amazing little person he was. This experience has brought us closer as a family. This was by far the hardest thing I have ever been through.

Brielle is also growing up super fast. She loves her dance class and is currently learning a dance to the Mr. Grinch song. We just bought her first booster seat last week and she loves it. She has been in preschool for few months now and she is learning soooo much. Next week is her class Christmas party and she gets to bring the treat bucket. She is soooo excited for Christmas and she wants a scooter and a care bear from Santa. She even likes to sleep with her presents. She has been in straight panties for over a month now I am sooo excited for that. We just love our little Miss Attitude.

Well sage had his four month appt yesterday, and actually he's almost five months old so I was a little late getting in.
He is growing like a weed. He weighed in at a chuncky 16 pounds and his height is 26 inches. He has been such a good little guy always happy. He's starting to grab at everything and then it goes straight to his mouth. He's trying to roll over and i'm sure he could by now but, i'm not the best giving him tummy time. He LOVES bath time with mommy. I got the okay yesterday to start him on rice cereal and baby food. So, i started him on prunes hoping it will help him with the back up problem lately. He has not got the hang of eating he gags and pushes most of it out with his tongue. I love my little sage so much I couldn't picture my life without him.

When Doctors said there was no hope, you kept faith in me.
I knew I was loved by you so very much.
I beat the odds and came into this world the early morning of Nov 14, 2010.
I was 19.5 inches long and weighed in at 7.5 pounds. I was rushed into the Nicu where nurses and doctor are taking the best care of me. They watch over me day and night and make sure I am feed and kept toasty warm. I know you are sad right now mom, But, I just want you to know I love you. And Heavenly father is keeping close watch on me.

Dear, Connor I want you to know I feel so blessed to be your aunt. You are such a miracle. You have made me app life more and to never take life for granted life is a precious gift. From breathing, seeing, eating, walking so many of us take it for granted.
I love you baby Connor and I think of you daily. And think why? you. You have been such a fighter and I feel like a better person just knowing you.

This Halloween was our first with two little ones. Sage was a cute chicken and Brielle was a pretty butterfly. We went with Kennedy again. We blessed Sage Kai on the 17th. I am so thankful for my husband, he is such a great father figure and I know he will be such a great example and rock for our kids. When Ian was blessing sage my dad said sage starred at him to whole time, what an amazing thing to be able to bless your children. Thank- you to friends and family who came and shared the special day with us. We just love our little family of four:)

Sage is two months now and I can't believe how time has flown bye. Can I just say I love, love, love, this little guy. I never put him down. I have never use his swing and his chair maybe 5 times and not very long. He sleeps in the bed next to me still. Yes, I fell back on my word that he would sleep in his crib lol. He is sooo good natured and he is starting to smile and kooo a lot. I just love every moment and don't want to take any time for granted with my kids. They just grow up WAY to fast:(

Over the weekend me my sis, mom and the kidos headed up to Lava Hot Spring for the weekend. It is the end of September and the weather was wonderful. We stayed at my grandparents Idaho house and played games and watched horror movies.

It started out a little rough traveling with two kids is a little more rough then just one:) And we booked our hotel ahead of time and when we got there it was sold out for our first night, so we had to sleep at the hotel next door which only had a king size bed so me my sister, mom and sage and lexi had to share the bed lol oh and we ordered take out pizza that night and it took three hours for them to deliver it and it was the worst pizza I have ever had. Sea world was a lot of fun we went there two of the days. We also drove to Disneyland,they had it decorated for halloween. The haunted house was my favorite. I had a lot of fun with the girls and Ian who looked like he had three wife's lol.

We went up to Idaho again for my cousins little girls Birthday. It's always soooo much fun up there. Brielle just plays and plays. She actually fell asleep eating dinner at the table lol. We played fun games and cards and just relaxed enjoying the last of summer and no lost keys this time:)

We went to the Davis county Fair a couple weeks ago. Its a really good fair for kids tons of kid stuff and free pony rides. I love the fair time, I actually went on a ride and boy did i get sick it seemed like the ride just kept going and going it was the ride with the two rockets that spin you in circles lol.

Ian just got back from his back packing trip to Wind Rivers. They had a hard 25 mile hike in. Ian looks forward to this trip every year. I was a little worried being at home by myself with a new baby and a toddler but, it went better then I thought. They got attacked by bugs ( Ian's legs and bum crack lol is covered in big red bug bites). I guess the fishing makes it all worth it I guess.

I just love this little guy so much. I understand why they say mommy's little boys there's something special about having a little boy. He has been the best baby ever! Super mellow and he is such a snuggler I love it! Now if time could just hold still I feel like he is growing up way too fast already:(

Blackfoot Idaho.....

Last weekend, We headed to my grandparents property in Blackfoot Idaho. We had a great time just relaxing and hanging out with the family. We had a car load going up 3 car seats and 4 adults and one dog lol. My poor mom sat in the back between two babies and had to give them both bottles at the same time lol. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for having us it was fun!! Sorry, mom I know you are going to get mad about your picture lol.

(Note to everyone who has only one key to their cars. I lost my key up there and it was of course my only one and it was chipped so it had to be made at a nissan dealer.I had to get my car towed to the nearest dealership which was over an hour away. And to top it off the week before we locked are keys inside the car and had to get a lock smith. Let's just say lessons learned I now have two keys:)

Today, I went to Sage's 2 week appointment and Brielle's 3 year (A little late I know). Lets just say when I made the appointment Ian was supposed to go with me and backed out last minute because of work. Never again will I take 2 kids both getting shots to the doctors by myself. Brielle was a little monster and that's an under statement. She would not coroperate at all. She was hitting the doctor telling him no and the shots she just freaked out. She is soooooooooo Sensitive!!! And the pku they do on babies that is soooo sad. They had to poke him 3 times to get enough blood. Let's just say I was not in the best mood. On the other hand their stats are good! Brielle is 35.6 pounds and in the 82% percentile and height is 40 inches and in the 93% percentile. Sage is 8 pounds 11oz in the 42% percentile and height 21 inches and in the 73% percentile.

Here's Sage's birth story, I went in on Friday morning to Davis Hospital to get induced. I was really nervous the night before and maybe slept a total of 2 hours. We got checked in and they started the IV around 8a.m. (man do I hate getting IV's I think they hurt super bad. She decided to do one in my arm which I think was more uncomfortable. I went in at a four then at 12ish I was a 7ish and by 1p.m. I was a 10 and ready to go I only had to push for 2 contractions and he was out. I was a little worried because my epidural was really strong and I was SUPER numb. I let a student do my first epidural and lets just say it did not work at all! I had to get another one by the real Dr. My legs were starting to get the restless legs syndrome and poor Ian had to keep moving them for me from side to side up and down even though I couldn't feel them it was the fact that I knew they were being moved lol. I am so glad everything thing went well and me and the baby are healthy. He was born at 1:09 p.m weighing 7pounds 15oz and 20 inches long. Thank you friends and family for all your support in helping me the last few days. I am in just awww with this new little guy. They are sooo fresh and perfect. Brielle has been really good being the older sister and is always wanting to help and of course hold him. No real jealous mood swings yet.

I went to the doctors on Tuesday and I am dilated to a four. I go back Tuesday for one more check up and if he is not here by Friday. I go in at 7:30a.m. and get induced. I am super nervous and excited. The past couple weeks have been real rough on me. I have NO energy at all. And I am such a busy body I feel like I get nothing done lately. I have been sleeping on the couch for about 2 months because I just can't get comfortable. On the couch I have at least figured a way to wedge myself in between pillows and be somewhat comfortable. Lets just say brielle's pregnancy was WAY easier.

Fourth of July Weekend!!!

On Friday, We headed up to Bear Lake. We thought it would be good to get one more outing before the baby comes. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Paris parade and Brielle got TONZ of candy. They just let little kids run all over the road grabbing candy. That would not fly at the layton parade lol. We watched the fire works at Ideal Beach and we had great seats you could see them lighting them. I'm getting a little nervous to have two little ones very soon. It hit me last week at my Doctors appointment when she said get your bags ready because he could come at any time, I think my face turned pale white. I am more nervous this time around. With Brielle I didn't know what to expect and this one I do.

Brielle turned three on Saturday. I am still in shock that my baby is three years old. This was the first year I did not throw a party. We didn't get home until late thursday and I didn't want to worry about a big party. So we took her out to dinner instead boring I know.

We had a Blast in Disneyland last week. It was an awesome time to go right before school gets out we walk on most of the rides which was nice for a change. Brielle went on most of the rides but, she still was a little short on some and they are SUPER strict there. Brielle was a little dare devil and went on Splash Mountain and Matterhorne roller coaster. I bet she would of done more but, she will have to wait until next time when she is a little taller:) Her favorite charter is Woody off of toy story and was super excited to meet him and all the other characters. It was fun to see Brielle so excited I hope she will remember some of this trip:)

One Saturday, we had another dance recital for Miss Brielle. We almost didn't go because we have had colds in our house hold but, she really wanted to go so we took her. I get a kick out of watching her every time. She is soooooo dang funny to watch. She did a new dance too but, I will have to have Ian post it later because I don't now how to make the video fit.:) We leave next week for disneyland. I'm getting excited for that but wish we were flying instead of driving. We measured Brielle the other day and I think she will be tall enough for a lot of the rides now. I think she will have a blast!!!

On Saturday, We took a drive down to Kaysville ponds. We came across a guy and his little boy fishing. After watching them for a little while Brielle has been hooked on fishing ever since. So we decided to go get a fishing license and give it a try (she loved it)!!!! We did not catch anything but, she loved all the fake fish and frogs in Ian's tackle box and has played with them ever since.

She started getting a little side track and came across this log device that you push to make it harder to make the hole. Well, Miss. Brielle got a little carried away pushing it. We went to my dads house yesterday, and got to see little mo-jo. He is still is a little stinker!!!! He's gained a lot of weight and seems to be very happy. Over the weekend, we headed down to St. George. It was super nice weather and it was nice to go on a short road trip. Brielle had a lot of fun! She played mini golf for the first time and went on a go cart with her daddy.

She thinks she needs a bandage every time she get a ouchie.
She gets up at least once a night screaming at her dad for pink milk (yes pink milk she is obsessed).
She'll say," kinsie stinks in the mouth".
She loves her new dance class and has become quite a little show off.
She LOVES to tell us NO.
The only way we can get her to brush her teeth is to say she has ants in the mouth. She is afraid of ants and can spot them everywhere and she'll make you kill them. She is going to be major trouble outside this year with all the bugs hopefully she'll be
over it.
She loves candy and gets plenty of it at Ian's parents house. She knows how to work the system there.
She has been watching caillu everyday, she loves it but thats one show that BUGS me, the little boy in it is soooooooo dang annoying .
she just had another growth spurt so Bye, Bye to more clothes:(
She has a strong stubborn personality, and hates to be told no. I think were in for it when she's a teen.

This year was a kind-of a blah Easter because of the nasty weather. This was the first year Brielle did not go to a easter egg hunt. I just thought it was way to cold. She did get a visit from the easter bunny though and she loved all the candy he brought ( she has a MAJOR sweet tooth). Hope everyone had a fun easter!!! Brielle had a major hair nest going on that morning lol.

I hope that one day the people of Darfur will have peace and can live as one. I feel so sad we do nothing more to help fight for peace in Sudan. Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed (people are are not just killed, they are tortured to death, limbs chopped off, eyes cut out, ears cut off, rape of the very young and old). Thousands had to flee to live on refugee camps living in fear everyday. The women get raped everyday going off camps to collect fire wood because the men can't leave the camps or they will get killed. They are stuck on tiny campsites that are filling with disease and suffering.

This has been ongoing story, but This is the news happening right now.

Last year the ICC (international criminal court) issued an arrest warrant for the president Bashir as a symbol to the world that this man is committing genocide. It caused fighting to cease until last month when a new stream of violence popped up. I pulled this from a news article from a few days ago.

"For the people of Jebel Marra, the self congratulatory backslapping and treaty signing in Doha seem to be a world away from the reality of their existence as they starve on the mountain slopes of Darfur. Forced from their villages as a result of a military campaign launched by the Government of Sudan, the idea of peace seems a distant prospect to say the least. Over the last 6 weeks, the displacement of over 250,000 people who are now forced to live in caves or to run from village to village in search of safety also seems far away from the concerns of the International Community, UNAMID, Save Darfur, human rights organizations or indeed anyone who might be expected to help. Instead, innocent people have been left to fend for themselves: their hopes for the future reduced to ashes alongside their villages which the Sudanese government recently burnt. "

"The big question here is why? Why is blatant genocide being ignored?

If genocide is about intent, then it is hard to find clearer evidence of a systematic attempt to annihilate a group of people in a given geographical area than in Jebel Marra today. In the eastern and southeastern areas of the Jebel Marra -- in towns such as Kidinyeer, Leibei, Faina, Dirbat, and Jawa -- there is a clear attempt to encircle the area with the express intention of preventing people from being able to enter or leave. Once the population is locked into the area, the real work of genocide can proceed. Water sources are buried leaving locals without any way to access clean drinking water. Grain stores are burnt, cutting the supply of food to nothing. Grinding mills are taken away to ensure that no flour can be made. The government forces which invaded the region have also looted houses, markets and removed all the livestock. Even the humanitarian organizations that were operating have been forced to withdraw from the area as a result of their offices being looted. Food is now in scarce supply; potable water absent and the scene is set for carnage on a massive scale."

Today, We had a ultrasound and got to see Sage. The nurse said everything looks good she counted five fingers and five toes. She also said everything looks good. He now weighs a little over a pound. Ian is SUPER excited to have a little boy. He said he will be a little surfer. I'm a little worried if he's anything like Ian (no sense of fear) we will have tons of broken bones and visits to the Dr.

Last thursday, We decided to hit the zoo since me and brielle both have had cabin fever. We went with our neighbors. It was fun and it was good to get some sun rays.

Disney On ice!

Thursday My Mom, Brielle and I went to Disney on Ice. I dressed Brielle up as Tinker Bell (She loves Tinker Bell). This is the third one I've been to with Brielle and was my favorite by far. Brielle had a blast, she loved seeing Tinker bell and Mickey and Minnie mouse. She stayed tuned in the whole time, which was nice. She is getting so big and starting to talk so much and say the funniest stuff. I just love her to death.

We found out today we are having a boy! At the ultrasound today the nurse said for sure it's a boy and you could totally tell it was a boy lol. I wanted another girl but, we are very excited to add a little boy to the family. As of right now his name his Sage.

Costa Rica 2010.

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Costa Rica. Anywhere beats Utah's weather right now, not to mention the air quality. We just got back Wednesday afternoon and it was bitter sweet because I wanted to stay longer but, I also wanted to come home and see Miss Brielle. This trip was way more relaxing than the past trips. We had a great little cabina out by a very quite and beautiful beach. As usual, the water was warm and the air was perfect ( a bit hot in the afternoons) but it was pure paradise. We usually have a jam packed schedule and this time we just went with the flow. We did do a couple excursions though, Ian and I went fishing (we released everything) it was fun to see Ian try and reel in some of the fish he caught. One of the fish he caught was a jack and it's funny because they snort like a pig. We met a lot more locals this time which was nice. We only had me and Ian in the car so we picked up a few hitch hikers. We also made some local animal friends. We had a little Iguana friend that would greet us by our door every day when we returned from our morning swim... We callled him Chewy and he was always begging for more flowers to eat...so of course we made a point of it to stuff his little body with the best Hibiscus flowers we could find. I also made friends with a few dogs that seemed like they needed some extra attention. (I made Ian take me to the store and buy dog food to give to the dogs:) I really wanted to bring back one German Shepherd that befriended me while Ian was on a sunset surf session. It was good to get away as a couple and spend a lot of time together once you have kids you forget how important it is to make time for each other. Thanks mom and karen for watching our little one (so we could go on this vacation:)

What's been going on.....

Well, whoever says potty training is easy is totally lying. I have been potty training Brielle for a week now and it is so hard. I put her on the toilet close to twenty times a day and she has the strongest little bladder. I swear, I sit there for 10 to 15 mins at a time waiting and nothing . Going pee on the toilet is tough because I can't tell when she's going in her pull-ups, and I tried regular underwear and when she pees she drenches herself and so I have to give her a bath which isn't bad but, brielle loves the bath tub and stays in the bath tub for like an hour and she is hard to get out once she is in. Number two is easy though because I can tell when she going. I am keeping strong on it but, man, it's SUPER time consuming. I have to give her something to get her on the toilet or she will say she is scared. We leave on tuesday for Costa Rica.I'm super excited to get out of the snow. But we are leaving Brielle with my mom so hopefully potty training will go better for her:) I'm sad to leave my little side kick.
