Farmington drive to go see the leaves.

Yesterday my dad, chalise, brielle and I went for a drive up farmington canyon to go see the leaves. The leaves are so pretty this time of year. We got some really cute pictures of brielle but it was a challenge to get pictures of her. She loses interest VERY easily.

Funny how things turn out.

While we were on vacation we had our ipods stolen. We figured we left them in the rental car or they got stolen at the car wash right before we left. So that night Ian called the car rental place and talked to a operator who told him to call back in the morning. Ian called 3 times and kept asking them if they had seen the ipods, the guy said no sir, I told you like four times we do not have the ipods. So we were bummed and just figure thats how it goes in a different country. But then on saturday Ian noticed someone was using his gmail account. The guy was using our ipod to email and just so happen he just sent us his name. We called Economy car rental and asked if they had a employee by the name of marco campos and they said yes then we asked to speak to a manager they told us the manager would not be here until monday morning. So Ian called them this morning and the manager said she was just about to call him. I guess the guy found out we were calling so he returned the ipods on saturday. I bet he just crapped his pants when he found out we knew. The manager said she would fed x us back the ipods today and that the guy no longer works there. It's sad that he got fired, I guess he learned his lesson that stealing gets you no where. Now if we can catch the person who some how wrote down our card number and charged $500.00 at a Hampton inn in Costa Rica. What a mess.

Just things for me to remember.

Brielle's words lately.
Her favorite word is "no".
Air plane- Air pane
Blanket-Bangket
Sleepy-Seepy
Hold me- Hold you
Kinsie-Tinsie
Uh-oh
Luv you too
Sandwich-Sandish
Pa Pa
Excuse me
Turd (devin taught her that one.)
Breakfast- Beckfast
Chalise- lees
When ever she wants her diaper changed she'll say poo-pee even on pee pee diapers.
She loves to sing and is starting to learn her abc's.
She has very good manners she'll say please and thank-you.
You ask her where daddy is and she'll say he is at work.
She is always finding our stuff around the house and she'll say if it's mommy's or daddy's.
She loves trying shoes on esp. my high heels and she walks pretty dang good in them.
She loves watching me get ready and I'll spray perfume on her and she'll say mmmmmm pretty.
She loves going sniff, sniff, sniff, stinkie.
She loves to eat cereal lately for breakfast , lucky charms and trix's are her favorite.
She'll tell me out of the blue she's sad.
She likes you to bite her finger nails and she'll say bite and put her hand in your face.
When you sneeze she'll say bless you.
She does not ride in the shopping carts at all.
She HATES getting her teeth bushed.
Whenever me or Ian leave she'll just keep repeating where daddy go? or where mommy go?
She is starting to talk more and more, and keep us on our toes more and more. But we sure love our little stink pants.

The Circus is here!

Tonight me and laurie took the girls to the circus. Call us crazy for taking two CRAZY tots to the circus by ourselves. Brielle was in a kick tonight where she didn't want to hold my hand. Her and kennedy were running around like two little monkeys. It's funny because every parent has been through the rough tots stage in one way or another and it's funny how people give you crusty's when your child is acting up (come on people give the people going through it a break). Anyways brielle enjoyed watching the elephants and the circus dogs. Which me and laurie decided mo- jo needs to join the circus. My dads picking him up again for the weekend so I'll get a little break from the little trouble maker. Ian has been out of town since tuesday he is in L.a. shooting. It is sooooooo hard being a single mom and not getting any help. I have a lot of respect for single women raising little ones by themselves.

Dew tour after Party.

This weekend Ian was shooting pictures for Fuel Tv at the Dew tour. He asked me if I wanted to go with him on friday night to shoot some pictures of the after party Fuel Tv was throwing at a bar in Salt Lake. It's funny because since I have been a stay at home mom I have become a hermit. I don't like to be in big groups of people. Ian had to talk me into going. I had fun hanging out with Ian though and made him take my picture with some of the athletes.

Patrick Swayze.

Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday at the young age of 57. I had the biggest crush on him in Dirty Dancing, one of my all time favorite movie's. I watched that show at least 50 times in my life time (nobody put's baby in the corner). Your pain and suffering is now gone rest in peace.

Pictures from Costa Rica.

Costa Rica...Again

We just got home on Friday from a long amazing trip to Costa Rica. This is our second trip this year. I guess we just cant get enough of it. We just love it there. This time we went with my mom and sister and our little stink pants(Brielle). It was definitely a trip for the books-great weather, beautiful quiet beaches, adventure in the rainforest etc. Our days were jam packed with swimming, surfing and body boarding, driving through the rainforest, visiting waterfalls, seeing nearly a dozen different humpback whales while we were boating, and soaking in the local surf vibe of our favorite town Dominical. Since this was our second time there we knew the basic directions and had idea of what we wanted to do that was helpful. Last time we had someone who spoke spanish, but this time around none of us spoke any spanish so that was a bit of a pain.
Brielle had a blast out there, she played in the sand, ate the sand, and she LOVED playing in the water and riding the body board while daddy pushed her through the waves. She had the biggest smile on her face and would say "I caught a big one"! Her new favorite snack is Cheetos. She wanted them all the time out there, even while she was on the beach playing in the sand. She had no problem eating the sandy Cheetos. She was such a trooper out there and she was so much fun to be with. I hope she will have some memory of it. One of the days we visited the deserted but beautiful Island of Cano (often said to be the inspiration of Robert Lewis Stevenson's Treasure Island) and it was amazing, supposably there are several large pirate treasures still hidden on the island, but no one has been able to find them. On the 2 hour trip out there (through the mangroves and dodging ocean waves, we saw 3 different kinds of dolphins jumping, and best of all, it was the time of year they had the whales with their babies. We saw one jump right out of the water in front of our boat - that was amazing to see. We also went to the little river town of Sierpe and went on a night jungle tour. The jungle tour is by boat and the time is spent navigating through little rivers that are surrounded by jungle. Croc infested waters as well as a torrential downpour of rain and several lighting strikes (within a hundred meters of our boat) made for an eventful evening. The thunder was nearly deafening (quite frightening when stuck on a 18 ft boat with just a small canopy overhead). That area is considered the wettest region in the world, and after experiencing a storm out there, it is easy to see why. Once the rain calmed down, some adventure began. Brielles highlight of the night is when Daddy had a tree frog jump off a branch and landed on the back of his head. Ian thought that some giant spider or something was in his hair, but it turns out that is was a cute little tree frog. Brielle still hasnt stopped reminding us about the frog on Daddy's head. Our guide caught a cayman and a baby crocodile and allowed us to hold them. He also told us stories about Giant Groupers eating children from the town (an 8yr old boy was swallowed whole a couple years back) and he told us about the 4 people eaten by crocodiles in the town just north of Sierpe last year. We have so many good stories and memories from the trip, but of course, there were a couple memories we wish we didnt have... Ian had a sunburn on his nose that was so deep that the skin on his nose would just start bleeding randomly, and worst of all, before we left, somehow our ipods got left in the rental car when we were getting a wash and they were both stolen :(. In anycase, the sunset swim sessions on our favorite beach (Playa Pinuella) and the time spent catching waves and exploring the rainforest made up for it all. We absolutely love the place we like to consider our home away from home, COSTA RICA!
